At GDA Surveying, we prioritise effective communication and tailored engagement with building residents. Our Resident Engagement Strategy offering is a comprehensive, two-stage process designed to ensure that residents’ needs and building safety regulations are met seamlessly.
Stage 1: Conducting a Demographic Survey
We create a tailored questionnaire to gather essential demographic data about building residents. Within seven days of project initiation, we provide a draft of this questionnaire for review and approval. Once approved, we distribute the questionnaire through multiple channels—both email and postal letter (including a prepaid return envelope)—to ensure ease of access and encourage responses. If the building has a resident portal, this platform can also be used for electronic communication as an alternative to email. After responses are collected, we compile and present the survey results in an agreed format for further analysis.
Stage 2: Developing the Resident Engagement Strategy
Using insights gained from the demographic survey, we draft a customised Resident Engagement Strategy that outlines critical elements, including:
- Responsibilities under the Building Safety Act
- Residents’ responsibilities for safety
- Approach to resident communication and engagement
- Specific building safety information relevant to residents
- Guidance for reporting building safety concerns
- Protocols for managing building safety issues
Following review and feedback, we incorporate any necessary adjustments and provide a finalised Resident Engagement Strategy ready for resident distribution. This structured approach ensures regulatory compliance and fosters transparent communication, ultimately enhancing resident engagement and building safety.
